We are especially interested in applicants with previous veterinary experience, a strong desire to learn new things and expand their skills, a true concern for animals, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well on a team. Are you a veterinary nurse/technician or receptionist who has never worked in the emergency or specialty field? If you already have experience in general veterinary practice, don’t be intimidated. We have excellent training and mentoring programs to assist you and there is a great deal of “overlap” between general practice and emergency/specialty skills. As we are a 24/7 practice, we offer a variety of work schedules including daytime, swing, and overnight shifts on both weekdays and weekends. We employ both part-time and full-time staff members. Some members of our staff are on alternate work schedules, allowing them more days off each week. Other staff members are part- or full-time students and find our flexible schedule ideal. Pre-veterinary students enjoy working with us due to our interesting caseload, interface with veterinary specialists, and the academic focus of our practice. We have a strong focus on ongoing education, holding monthly doctor rounds and numerous in-house CE opportunities. Our practice is privately-owned and operated; our goal is not to be the biggest ER/specialty practice in the Bay Area, just the best!
